If ever a camera was suited to making unobtrusive portrait images, the Fujifilm X-Pro1 is it. I’ve taken quite a few photographs of this very special young lady using the X-Pro1 fitted with the Fujinon 35mm ƒ2 lens and have been delighted by the results.
All the images images are from three different series shot using available light, sometimes using a reflector, sometimes not; I don’t like using flash. The detail in each shot is amazing, the lens beautifully sharp, the bokeh just enough. Processed in Lightroom 5.4 and, in the case of the black & white images, Silver Efex Pro 2 before being cropped to 16:9 – letterbox size. I reckon that the images will stand a print size in excess of 20×10 comfortably.
The first black & white shot is one of my favourite images taken with the X-Pro1.
